A charming Gessian village, located on the outskirts of Geneva, Chevry is located in the canton of Gex. It has 1643 inhabitants called "Chevrysians and Sherysians"
It is surrounded by the municipalities of Echenevex, Segny, Prévessin-Mmael, St Genis Pouilly and Crozet.

The hamlets of Veraz, Naz-Dessous and Brétigny are part of the village.

The town is crossed by several rivers: the Grand Journans, the Petit Journans, L'Allondon and the Janvoin.

The town also covers a wooded area on the edge of the Jura Mountains.
